Née en 1993 à Strasbourg, Zélie Nguyen vit et travaille à Paris. Après des études de recherche en Arts Plastiques à la Sorbonne, elle intègre l’atelier Djamel Tatah aux Beaux-Arts de Paris et obtient son diplôme en 2021.
Elle a également travaillé à l’atelier de lithographie Michael Woolworth où elle a participé à l’impression et l’édition d’un livre d’artiste et d’ estampes en 2021.
Actuellement artiste - résidente à la Tour Orion (Collectif diamètre quinze) à Montreuil, elle est représentée par la galerie By Lara Sedbon à Paris.
Elle développe une peinture onirique et symbolique, où se croisent architectures imaginaires, animaux étranges et paysages mentaux, souvent inspirés de la miniature persane ou de l’iconographie médiévale. À travers un langage plastique raffiné et un goût affirmé pour l’ornement, elle explore un « palais de mémoire » personnel, entre rêve et introspection. Son travail pictural évolue en cycles de transformation, intégrant peu à peu l’événement, le trouble et le réel. Zélie Nguyen affirme ainsi une peinture en mouvement, nourrie de références à Giotto, Hokusai ou Uccello, et tournée vers l’exploration d’un monde intérieur en perpétuelle expansion.

Born in 1993 in Strasbourg, Zélie Nguyen lives and works in Paris. After studying Fine Arts at the Sorbonne, she joined the Djamel Tatah workshop at the Beaux-Arts de Paris and obtained her DNSAP in 2021.
She also worked at the Michael Woolworth lithography studio where she participated in the printing and publishing of an artist's book and prints in 2021.
Currently artist-in-residence at the Orion Tower (Collectif diamètre quinze) in Montreuil, she is represented by the gallery By Lara Sedbon with whom she participated in two group exhibitions in 2022 at the Bastille Design Center, then in 2023 at the Salon Art Genève and Art Paris.
Her paintings are dreamlike and symbolic, combining imaginary architectures, strange animals and mental landscapes, often inspired by Persian miniatures or medieval iconography. Through a refined plastic language and an assertive taste for ornament, she explores a personal “palace of memory”, somewhere between dream and introspection. Her pictorial work evolves in cycles of transformation, gradually integrating the event, the troubled and the real. In this way, Zélie Nguyen affirms a painting in motion, nourished by references to Giotto, Hokusai or Uccello, and turned towards the exploration of an inner world in perpetual expansion.
